This is definitely a place that l never thought or expected to visit. During my exchange semester we were able to go on "Tallinn cruise", which was pretty much a chance for 2000 students across several countries to come together and have a good time. Once we arrived in Tallinn we had about 10 hours to explore the city, which resulted us being lost for half the time and discovering hidden quirky cafes and bars. Before we had arrived l had heard some weird stories about Estonia and overall to be careful. However after roaming around for hours, the people were beyond friendly and the city felt extremely safe.
Tallinn didn't feel like a large city, it felt more like a town. The buildings and the cobbled streets felt like l was walking down some small german town rather than a capital city. However l genuinely didn't know what to expect when l arrived in Estonia, l didn't have much previous knowledge of the country. It was nice to use the euro currency rather than the swedish kronor.
Unfortunately l didn't spend much time in this amazing city which l regret. It's a place that l would definitely like to come back to and explore the outskirts a bit more.
As l didn't stay to long, do you have any recommendations on what to do while in Tallinn?
